• Rainbow City Firefighter Earns Advanced EMT Certification (weisradio.com) — Rainbow City residents now have an Advanced EMT on their fire department, as firefighter Nick Young has earned his national certification while continuing to serve locally. His new skills mean more advanced on-scene care, and he’s already pushing further by attending Paramedic School to strengthen the department’s emergency medical response. 
• Rainbow City Woman Killed in Head-On Crash in Morgan County (weisradio.com) — A 46-year-old Rainbow City woman, Stevi P. Cox, was killed Monday morning in a head-on collision on Alabama 67 in Morgan County. State troopers say her Mitsubishi Eclipse and a Jeep Gladiator collided, fatally injuring Cox and sending the other driver to Marshall Medical Center as they continue investigating the crash.
• Meet The New Alabama Business Hall Of Fame Inductees (tuscaloosathread.com) — One of this year’s Alabama Business Hall of Fame inductees is John Croyle, a longtime leader of Big Oak Ranch who lives in Rainbow City with his wife, Teresa. The statewide honor recognizes seven influential business figures, but Croyle’s inclusion gives Rainbow City a direct connection to the November ceremony and highlights the impact of a local resident’s decades of work with children in need.
