Hillcrest Alumna Mackenzie Harper Earns ACCC Pitcher Of The Week For Shelton State Softball

TUSCALOOSA AL — Shelton State Community College sophomore pitcher Mackenzie Harper has been named the Alabama Community College Conference (ACCC) Pitcher of the Week after a dominant showing in the circle.

Harper, a Tuscaloosa native and former Hillcrest High School standout, turned in an impressive performance highlighted by 14 innings pitched, 16 strikeouts and a 1.29 earned run average during wins over Coastal Alabama Community College.

Harper owns a 2.11 ERA in 2025-26 with a 7-6 record across 18 appearances, including 11 starts.

She has struck out 98 batters over 89.2 innings while limiting opponents to 56 hits and holding a 1.00 WHIP.

Over her collegiate career, Harper has compiled a 3.12 ERA with 211 strikeouts in 181.2 innings pitched.

The Lady Bucs will return to action Thursday at home against Gadsden State Community College.
