Texas Man, Woman Killed In Tractor-Trailer Crash Near Fosters
A Texas man and woman were killed Tuesday afternoon in a single-vehicle crash involving a tractor-trailer on Interstate 59.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — A Texas man and woman were killed Tuesday afternoon in a single-vehicle crash involving a tractor-trailer on Interstate 59 in Tuscaloosa County.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) said the crash occurred at approximately 1:50 p.m. Tuesday near the 58 mile marker on Interstate 59, about three miles north of Fosters.

Authorities identified the victims as 71-year-old Jerry C. Ketterer and 68-year-old Marci A. Ketterer, both of Del Rio, Texas.
ALEA says Jerry Ketterer was driving a 2019 Kenworth tractor-trailer when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree.

Both Jerry and Marci Ketterer, who was a passenger in the truck, suffered fatal injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
