• 23 Chihuahuas Rescued After Owner Evicted From Imperial Beach Home (patch.com) — Twenty-three Chihuahuas were rescued after their owner was evicted from an Imperial Beach home, further straining San Diego Humane Society's already over-capacity shelters. The dogs are receiving medical and behavioral evaluations before adoption, and the Humane Society is urging residents to adopt or foster—especially larger dogs—with discounted or waived fees during its Clear the Shelters campaign.
