The move ends plans for that specific funding tool, though officials are now considering a business improvement district as an alternative way to support projects along Colorado Avenue.
   

4. Suspect sought for connection to two armed robberies in Colorado Springs (krdo.com) — Police in Colorado Springs are searching for 40s-to-50s-aged suspect Richard Kosut, wanted in connection with two recent armed robberies along Austin Bluffs Parkway and North Academy. Investigators say evidence found at a Hackamore Court residence links him to both incidents, and they're asking anyone with information that could help locate him to contact law enforcement immediately.
   

5. Colorado Springs firefighters deploy to Hawaii to assist with Tropical Storm Nolo (dailydispatch.com) — Colorado Springs residents should know that five local firefighters are deploying with Colorado's Urban Search and Rescue Task Force to help with Tropical Storm Nolo in Hawaii. The team is flying out from Denver after gear and medical checks, ready to support search and recovery efforts if the storm strengthens into a hurricane.
