2. 7:45-11AM 20th Annual Golden Gallop @ Golden High School (goldentoday.com) — Golden's biggest annual run, the 20th Golden Gallop, is happening this morning, starting and finishing at Golden High School and taking runners under the downtown Welcome arch. Participants can choose from 5K, 10K, a special 20K Challenge, or kids and virtual options, with cash prizes, age-group awards, and even bandana-wearing dogs welcome in select races.

Icelantic Skis moves out of downtown Golden (denverpost.com) — Icelantic Skis has closed its longtime downtown Golden storefront and consolidated operations at a larger shop near I‑70 and 6th Avenue, where locals can now buy skis, demos, and tunes in one stop. The company is trimming soft-goods retail, emphasizing ski sales and customer experience, and pushing more direct-to-consumer business while keeping manufacturing in Denver.
   

4. Penoyer-Blau/Leszczak wedding (idahopress.com) — A local connection popped up in an Idaho wedding, where one of the groomsmen was Emma Leszczak of Golden. The couple, both Boise State graduates, celebrated at an Eagle event center before honeymooning on a Caribbean cruise and settling in Meridian, with Golden represented among friends and family.

No sign ex-DNA analyst touched JonBenét Ramsey data: Forensic expert (newsnationnow.com) — A former Colorado Bureau of Investigation DNA analyst has been sentenced for manipulating evidence in roughly 1,000 cases, but investigators say there's no sign she altered data in the JonBenét Ramsey investigation. She recently appeared at Jefferson County District Court in Golden, while experts and the Ramsey family continue to question broader CBI lab practices and push for retesting.
