Here's how to stay safe with nor'easter on the way (nbcconnecticut.com) — If you're heading to the Olivia Rodrigo concert at PeoplesBank Arena in Hartford this weekend, be ready for a nor'easter bringing one to two inches of rain, gusty winds, and possible flooding. CTDOT urges drivers to slow down, avoid flooded roads, and report downed branches or wires to 911, while crews monitor conditions and post any road impacts online throughout the storm.
   

4. Stage Shift on I-84 Westbound at Exit 45 Off-Ramp in Hartford (ct.gov) — Drivers in Hartford should prepare for a stage shift and temporary ramp closure on I-84 westbound at Exit 45 on Monday, October 5, 2026, as CTDOT works on bridge pin and hanger replacements. Traffic barriers, striping, and signs will be reconfigured, with state troopers guiding motorists through a rolling roadblock, so plan extra travel time and slow down in the work zone.
   

5. SNAP enrollment is down in CT since last year — but where?
