• Updated 2026 Pool Schedule Released For Trumbull (patch.com) — Trumbull has released updated hours for the Tashua Knolls and Beach Memorial pools, including weekday and weekend schedules from August 22 through Labor Day. Adult swim will run 15 minutes at the top of every hour, and officials note that all dates and times may change without notice, so residents should double-check before heading out for a swim.
   

• Barbara Tranchese loved her family, lived life to the fullest (themonroesun.com) — Family and friends are remembering Barbara Mae Tranchese of Monroe, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and Yankees fan whose faith and love of family shaped her long life. Calling hours will be held August 23 in Monroe, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial on August 24 and entombment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Trumbull.
