1. GoFundMe Campaign Raises Thousands For Westport Family With Flooded Home (patch.com) — Westport neighbors are rallying around Lindsay Bernsohn and her sons after a Sept. 13 storm flooded their Greens Farms Road home and destroyed their car, with a GoFundMe nearing its $100,000 goal. The town has also launched an online resource hub to help Westport residents and businesses deal with widespread flooding damage and recovery needs.
   

2. Westport Volunteer EMS Accepting Applicants For October EMT Course (patch.com) — Westport Volunteer EMS is recruiting applicants for an in-person EMT course starting Oct. 5, teaching essential emergency skills from bandaging to managing multiple traumatic injuries. The long-running volunteer tradition in Westport offers residents and others in Fairfield County a path to serve on local EMS teams, though space in the class is limited.
   

3. Longshore Inn Renovation Complete: Worth The Wait! (06880danwoog.com) — Westport's town-owned Inn at Longshore has reopened after an $8 million-plus renovation, transforming its ballroom, guest rooms, and waterfront deck while keeping its classic charm. Residents can now enjoy updated wedding and event spaces, refreshed hotel suites, and an improved La Plage kitchen supporting both dining and catering. The inn is heavily booked for weddings through 2027, with 2028 reservations opening soon.
   

4. Milling and Resurfacing Route 57 in Westport (ct.gov) — Drivers in Westport should prepare for night lane closures on Route 57 between Route 136 and the Weston line from Sept. 27 through Oct. 9. CTDOT crews will mill and resurface a 1.34‑mile stretch overnight, 7 p.m. to 5 a.m., with traffic control guiding motorists and possible schedule changes if weather interferes.
