Humane Society of Manatee County Breaks Ground on Bigger, Storm-Ready Shelter in Bradenton – WENG 98.1FM, 107.5 FM & 1530 AM (wengradio.com) — Bradenton's Humane Society of Manatee County is nearly doubling its shelter space, replacing its aging adoption center with a larger, storm-resilient facility that keeps animals safe during hurricanes. Construction starts in November, beginning with a new cat building, and the organization is inviting local residents to get involved as volunteers and supporters during the multi-phase expansion.
