Andover Begins $500K Tewksbury Street Sidewalk Project Through Complete Streets (patch.com) — Andover residents in Ballardvale will soon see safer walking options as the town builds about 2,000 feet of new sidewalk along Tewksbury Street between Yardley Road and Oak Street. Identified as a priority in Andover's planning documents, the nearly $500,000 project is the town's first funded through Massachusetts' Complete Streets program, aimed at improving pedestrian access and connectivity.
   

2. Lawrence Man Charged After Fleeing Andover Rush-Hour Highway Crash: State Police (patch.com) — A multi-vehicle crash on Route 93 north near Dascomb Road in Andover shut down two lanes during Tuesday's morning rush, backing up traffic for miles. State Police say a Lawrence man fled the scene on foot before being caught, and he now faces OUI, negligent operation, and other charges in Lawrence District Court.
   

3. Andover Select Board Reviews 334-Unit Minuteman Park Proposal (andovermanews.com) — A 334-unit apartment complex is being proposed for 300 Minuteman Road in Andover, potentially boosting annual tax revenue from about $150,000 to $1.5 million. Select Board members are weighing traffic, sewer capacity, and the long-term tradeoff of converting commercial land to housing before a possible 'friendly 40B' application advances to the Zoning Board.
   

4. WATCH: Andover Day Returns With 265 Vendors, Music and Family Activities (andovermanews.com) — Downtown Andover will be closed off this Saturday, Sept. 19, for Andover Day, bringing 265 vendors, live music, kids' activities, and a beer and wine garden from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Organizers expect thousands of visitors, expanded entertainment, and a new 20-foot video screen at Elm Square, with a rain date set for Sept. 26.
   

5. Local Event: Andover Choral Society holds Open Rehearsals (patch.com) — Local singers are invited to open rehearsals with Andover Choral Society on Sept. 28 and Oct. 5 at Christ Church on Central Street in Andover. The volunteer chorus is launching its 2026–27 season under new music director Dr. Charles Tyler Turner, leading to a February concert featuring Fauré's Requiem and other major choral works.
