Tufts facilities workers reach tentative bargaining agreement after recent vote authorizing strike (tuftsdaily.com) — Tufts University facilities workers on the Medford/Somerville campus have reached a tentative contract agreement just days after authorizing a strike, following pressure that included a rally attended by Medford officials. The deal promises higher wages, better paid time off, and protections for workers on immigration-related leave, and now heads to union members for ratification. Medford's city council president also criticized Tufts' financial contribution to city services while backing workers' demands.
