Melrose-based State Rep. Opening Door To Constituents

The legislator is making a local in-person appearance soon.

MELROSE, MA —Residents will have an opportunity to meet with their state representative later this month during office hours in Melrose.

State Rep. Kate Lipper-Garabedian will host the event on Friday, July 24, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Milano Center on 201 West Foster St.

The office hours come after Lipper-Garabedian and State Sen. Jason Lewis secured a $50,000 earmark in the recently signed Fiscal Year 2027 state budget for exterior improvements at the senior center.

Residents who are unable to attend can still contact Lipper-Garabedian's office to discuss state matters or schedule a meeting. Constituents can reach Legislative Aide Molly Graw by email or by calling 617-722-2960.

Lipper-Garabedian will also hold office hours in Wakefield on July 24 from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. at the McCarthy Senior Center, 30 Converse St. The visit follows a $75,000 Fiscal Year 2026 state budget earmark secured by Lipper-Garabedian and the Wakefield state delegation to support improvements to the center's HVAC system.

Lipper-Garabedian represents the 32nd Middlesex District in the House of Representatives, which includes the entirety of Melrose, Ward 5 Precincts 2 and 3A of Malden, and Precincts 4,5, and 6 of the Town of Wakefield. Lipper-Garabedian first took office in the spring of 2020 after serving as a Melrose city councilor. She is currently running for State Senate.
