Troy Man Threatens To Kill 4 Muslim Men Outside Library: Prosecutor (patch.com) — Residents in Troy are learning more about a serious hate crime charge after a 79-year-old local man allegedly threatened four Muslim men outside the Troy Public Library while armed. Prosecutors say the men were peacefully discussing the Quran when the suspect, who has dementia and a concealed pistol license, reportedly made violent threats, prompting police to arrest him, seize most of his firearms, and seek an Extreme Risk Protection Order.

The four-story facility, expected to open in 2029, will nearly quadruple Troy's current rehab capacity for stroke, brain injury, and complex orthopedic recovery.
