• Local Event: Madison's Marching Dodgers Host Band Competition Sunday Oct. 4 (patch.com) — Madison High School's Marching Dodgers are hosting a big "Tournament of Bands" competition at Ted Monica Stadium this Sunday, Oct. 4, with 14 visiting bands and food on site. Gates open at 11:30 a.m., tickets are discounted for students and seniors, and kids under 10 wearing maroon and gold get in free, making it an easy local outing for families.

• Council Meeting Update: Madison Plans 2027 Property Revaluation; Borough Retains AAA Credit Rating (tapinto.net) — Madison officials are planning a borough-wide property revaluation for 2027, spreading the $1.2 million cost over five years so residents aren't hit with a single large budget spike. At the same time, the borough kept its AAA credit rating and outlined how it will finance the Drew Forest purchase with grants, short-term borrowing, and a temporary utility loan.
