Man Hurls Paint Can At Montclair Home, Leaving Pink Mess On Porch: Police

MONTCLAIR, NJ — A “criminal mischief” incident involving pink paint took place in Montclair on Tuesday, authorities said.

A resident of Maple Avenue told officers that she left home at 12:20 p.m. When she returned around 1 p.m., she found that someone had thrown pink paint on her door and porch.

Surveillance footage shows a man dressed in a gray hoodie and gray sweatpants getting out of a white van from the passenger side. The man approaches the home with the paint can in his left hand, stops at the sidewalk in front of the residence, and throws the paint can at the home.

The man then went back to the vehicle, which drove away northbound on Maple Avenue, police said.
