• Ramiza's three TD's, Ascensio's first career FG help Ramsey hand Mountain Lakes first loss (nj.com subscription) — Ramsey High's football team thrilled home fans at John C. Depuyt Field, handing Mountain Lakes its first loss of the season with a 24-14 victory. Senior Brodie Ramiza scored three touchdowns, and sophomore Kelvin Ascensio sealed the win with his first career 35-yard field goal, helping the Rams bounce back and improve to 3-1.
   

• Carlsbad man makes first profession as Salesian (thesoutherncross.org) — A young Salesian brother who trained at Don Bosco Prep in Ramsey has taken his first religious vows after discerning his vocation through mission work in Peru and Mexico. His time in Ramsey's pre-novitiate program helped prepare him for further formation in Orange and South Orange, where he'll study philosophy and explore using media and storytelling in youth ministry.
