(witn.com) — Belhaven’s new public boat ramp on Highway 99 at Pantego Creek has been shut down for up to three months so the state can fix water that’s too shallow for some boats. The $900,000 ramp opened just over a month ago, and another $125,000 in federally funded repairs will deepen the water to meet national standards.
