CVS is hosting a neighborhood block party on Friday, July 3 from 4:00–6:00 PM at 5311 Roxboro Rd., Durham, NC 27712 as part of America’s 250th anniversary celebration. The event is free and open to the public, and a great option for Durham community members heading into the holiday weekend.

CVS Photo is the Official Memory Maker of A250, and the celebration will feature a collection of custom photo offerings -including mugs, tumblers, magnets, lawn signs, and posters -found only at CVS Pharmacy. The designs were inspired by CVS Health colleagues and bring a modern Americana aesthetic to life.

With over 600 CVS locations within one mile of parade routes nationwide, the brand is making it easy for communities to stock up on day-of must-haves and celebrate together.

The Glass Jug Beer Lab - RTP

Keenan Jenkins of XOXOK crafts atmospheric soul music that is inspired by both old-school R&amp;B (think What’s Going On-era Marvin Gaye) and more modern artists who have expanded the genre (like Maxwell, Moses Sumney, Solange). Behind him, TJ Richardson (bass) and Joe MacPhail (drums) pull the audience into a deep groove while Gabriel Reynolds (keyboards) floats a pillowy keyscape. The bus will be parked out back in the Beer Garden. Each blood donation saves up to 3 lives! In addition to knowing you helped others, every donor will receive $40 in donor rewards. Plus we're having our "Key West Affair" Commonwealth Brewing party at the same time so stick around for festive Florida fun, drinks, and games.
(Note: Donors need to be at least 16 years old (16 and 17-year-olds need a permission slip, which will be at the blood drive), weigh at least 110 pounds, have an ID, and be in general good health.)

Rose Galaxy is sure to wow you in the beer garden this July with their unique edge to rock and pop/rock hits from the '90s through today. With a powerhouse female lead vocalist and a lineup of exceptionally talented, experienced musicians, their setlist blends nostalgia with modern flair—always delivered with their own signature twist.
The Daily Press food truck will also be serving up deliciousness from 5-8pm, and our outdoor bar will be open, slinging our most popular beers right next to the stage! You can open a tab inside or outside and add drinks throughout the event from either bar. We can also close your tab inside or outside - so spend less time waiting in line and more time enjoying the show!
We expect a full house, so consider bringing your own lawn chairs or blankets as tables will go quickly. Or, get here early to beat the crowd, grab a beer and a picnic table. If our parking lot is full, overflow parking is available at the business complex next door. Just head between True Flavors and SpeeDee Oil Change Center to access the next parking lot.

Can she remember to lock the front door? What about the thermostat? Has she taken her meds today? Who can stay with her? When family pitches in, they average 20 hours per week. Solution? Senior living communities answer many important needs: •	Nutrition: 3 meals a day with no dishes to wash. •	Safety: Front door opens into the hallway of the community. Help with meds. •	Transportation: Community provides transportation to medical appointments, shopping and outings. •	Social: Familiar company at meals. A variety of activities including gardening, crafts and music. Which senior living community best fits her needs? Which senior living communities will accept her? Which senior living options are affordable? The average cost of assisted living $5,500 per month. Who pays? (Hint: not Medicare.) What happens to the house? the contents? How best may a family stay informed of her status? Having worked through my mother’s increasing needs in aging and, more recently, those of my wife’s Mom, I assist adult children who, likewise, are realizing their Mom’s capacities are declining and needs are multiplying. More specifically, I am offering to carefully align “Mom’s” individual needs with the variety of senior living options. I am a Senior Transition Specialist and I collaborate with value-based care expert, Tu Tu Cares. I have toured dozens of communities and have friends who are residents. I can recommend specialists in powers-of-attorney, guardianship, veterans’ benefits, decluttering and move management.
