Hispanic Churches Take Children on The Greatest Journey (samaritanspurse.org) — A small Hispanic congregation in Winston-Salem is using a 12-lesson discipleship course, The Greatest Journey, to deepen children's faith and involve parents at home. Nearly 40 local kids are enrolled, with several professing new faith and even drawing additional families into the church, as leaders encourage them to see themselves as young missionaries in their own community. 
2. Winston-Salem man dies in head-on crash in Davidson County, troopers say (myfox8.com) — A 27-year-old Winston-Salem man was killed Sunday evening when his car crossed the median of I-85 in Davidson County and hit a commercial truck head-on. Troopers say the crash overturned the truck and sent its driver and passenger to the hospital, while the Winston-Salem driver died at the scene between mile markers 102 and 103.
3. Atrium's big hospitals are 'non-preferred' in State Health Plan program (businessnc.com) — State employees and retirees in Winston-Salem could face sharply higher medical costs because Atrium's Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center is classified as a non-preferred hospital in the State Health Plan for 2027. Novant's Forsyth Medical Center will be cheaper for most plan members, potentially creating a $12,000 difference in annual out-of-pocket maximums depending on which system families use.
