Forsyth County Sheriff's Office warns of increased coyote activity in Winston-Salem (myfox8.com subscription) — Local officials are warning about unusually active coyotes around Forsyth Tech's Winston-Salem campus, where up to 15 animals are roaming nearby woods and sometimes approaching people and pets. Residents are urged to avoid walking dogs on campus, secure trash and pet food, keep animals vaccinated for rabies, and call animal services if they encounter aggressive behavior.

With many buyers squeezed by tight resale inventory, the report suggests builders here are helping keep options relatively affordable compared with existing homes in other parts of the country.
