• 2 Charged In Connection With Pawtucket Drive-By Shooting: Cops (patch.com) — Pawtucket police arrested a 20-year-old man and a juvenile after a drive-by shooting on Cottage Street, where officers recovered shell casings but found no victims. Detectives used surveillance video to identify a vehicle of interest, then took both suspects into custody on drive-by shooting and conspiracy charges. One will be arraigned by a bail commissioner while the juvenile was sent to the Rhode Island Training School.
   

• Ex-Pawtucket Schools Controller Alleges CFO Was Forced Out (upriseri.com) — Pawtucket residents are learning more about turmoil in the school district's finance office, as a former controller publicly alleged the previous CFO was fired for refusing to bend financial realities and has filed a wrongful termination suit. The School Committee later met in closed session about litigation and heard that the district's long-delayed audit remains in draft form, with exhausted staff still working toward completion.
