• Oconee County Sheriff's Office announces Additional Arrest in 2026 Drug Round-Up (wnegradio.com) — Oconee County deputies have made another arrest in their 2026 drug round-up and are still looking for several suspects, including one man with an Anderson address. Residents in Anderson and nearby communities are encouraged to share anonymous tips with Crimestoppers if they have information that could help locate those still wanted on methamphetamine and fentanyl distribution charges. 
• District: Two Upstate school buses drained of gasoline in series of statewide thefts (foxcarolina.com) — School bus gasoline thefts under state investigation have hit multiple Upstate counties, including Anderson, raising concerns about school transportation security. Laurens County reported two buses with drilled gas tanks, and state education officials say law enforcement is using every available tool to find whoever is responsible, while districts heighten security.
