• SC: Woman sentenced in death of Easley police officer (wyff4.com) — A Pickens woman has been sentenced to seven years in prison for her role in the 2023 train-track incident that killed Easley Police Officer Matthew Hare as he tried to pull her to safety. Prosecutors say she left a suicide note, resisted officers on the tracks, and pleaded guilty to breach of peace of a high and aggravated nature.
