• Juneteenth Soul Food Festival returns to Fountain Inn (greenvillejournal.com) — Fountain Inn’s sixth-annual Juneteenth Soul Food Festival is set for June 19 from 3–9 p.m. along Main Street, Depot Street, and the Depot Stage downtown, with free admission and 60 food and service vendors. Expect live performances, including DJ Kels, local dance group Bliss3, and headliner Soultown Revue, plus a big crowd after last year’s turnout of about 5,000 attendees.
   

• New Toastmasters Club Brings Public Speaking Practice to the Golden Strip (whosonthemove.com) — If you live in Fountain Inn or nearby Golden Strip communities and want to get better at public speaking, a new Toastmasters club is starting up locally. The group will meet Thursday, June 18, from 6:30–7:30 p.m. at the Five Forks Library in Simpsonville, offering supportive practice for everything from work talks to church lessons.
