The records outline tense moments as officers considered lethal force, evacuated nearby campers and families, and ultimately contained the animal, with the zoo reporting nearly $8,000 in lost revenue.
   

• 41 people relocated after ceiling collapse, flood at Greenville County post-acute facility (wyff4.com) — A ceiling collapse and flooding at Reedy River Post Acute in Greenville County forced 41 residents to be moved overnight, though everyone is reported safe. Families are raising concerns about delayed communication from the nursing home, while health officials and local authorities oversee repairs and next steps for the Berea facility.
   

• Driver had meth in system during crash that killed Upstate sergeant, 4 others (wspa.com) — Toxicology results show one driver in the May Greer crash that killed five people, including Greenville Police Sergeant Ashley Munoz, had meth levels about ten times a therapeutic dose. Investigators say the other driver, Ashley's wife and fellow Greenville sergeant Diana Munoz, tested only for caffeine and survived, while Spartanburg's coroner urges lawmakers to toughen South Carolina's DUI laws.
