Local teams can register now, arrange discounted practice rounds for May 2–3, and must submit entry fees to the Greenwood High athletic department, which also handles W-9 uploads and digital scoring details.
   

• Woman sought on drug charges in Greenwood County, deputies said (foxcarolina.com) — Law enforcement in Greenwood County is asking for the public’s help locating a woman wanted on multiple drug-related charges tied to a 2024 motel search in Greenwood. Deputies say meth, marijuana, and other suspected contraband were found, and anyone with information is urged to contact 911 or the Greenwood County Sheriff’s Office.
   

• Stricter abortion ban advances in SC Senate, months after previous plan rejected (greenvillebusinessmag.com) — Greenwood residents are represented directly in this debate, as Sen. Billy Garrett of Greenwood sits on the Senate Medical Affairs Committee weighing a much stricter abortion ban. A subcommittee advanced a bill that would outlaw abortion from the start of pregnancy, add criminal penalties for women and doctors, and remove exceptions for rape, incest, and fatal fetal anomalies, setting up a contentious fight in the final weeks of the legislative session.
