• Oconee County Sheriff's Office Arrests Seneca Man on Burglary and Domestic Violence Charges (wnegradio.com) — Law enforcement says a 42-year-old Seneca man is jailed without bond yet after being charged with first-degree burglary and first-degree domestic violence following a weekend disturbance on Corinth Drive near Seneca. Deputies report he entered a home without consent, allegedly armed with brass knuckles, and assaulted a woman while two teenagers were present. The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate.
   

• Man charged with kidnapping at Planet Fitness (wyff4.com) — A 37-year-old man from Seneca faces kidnapping and third-degree assault and battery charges after deputies say he trapped another man in a Planet Fitness locker room. According to an arrest warrant, he allegedly grabbed the victim’s shirt, blocked his exit, took his phone, and threatened serious harm if he spoke or tried to leave. The investigation remains active.
   

• Who's speaking at Lindsey Graham's memorial service in Washington? (wltx.com) — A Seneca connection will be part of Tuesday’s high-profile Washington memorial for the late Sen. Lindsey Graham, where President Trump and Sean Hannity are among the speakers. Rev. Tim Tate, senior pastor of Corinth Baptist Church in Seneca, will deliver the homily at Washington National Cathedral, bringing a local voice to the national service.

What your neighbors are talking about on social media

  • If you see deer on or near the road you can honk your horn to scare them away, I do this every morning on the way to work to try to "teach" them roads are dangerous!
    I tried this with groundhogs too but those critters seem to be suicidal. It does work with squirrels, rabbits, etc... (Nextdoor Seneca)
