9 Pumpkin Patches And Corn Mazes To Visit In Northern Virginia This Fall
Snag a gourd, disappear into a maze or catch candy from a cannon at Virginia farms this fall.
Northern Virginia farms are welcoming the fall season with corn mazes, pumpkin picking, hayrides, giant slides and … pig races.
Across the region, some farms offer bare-bones free pumpkin and vegetable picking, while others charge $15 to $30 per person for festivals featuring a full day of activities.
Here are nine pumpkin patches, corn mazes and fall festivals in Northern Virginia and nearby communities, along with their hours and admission prices.

1. Cox Farms — Centreville
15621 Braddock Road, Centreville
Cox Farms' annual Fall Festival features giant slides, hayrides, farm animals, rope swings, straw tunnels and its Cornundrum cornfield adventure. Admission includes a small pumpkin to take home.

Hours: Sept. 19-Nov. 8, Thursday through Monday, plus Nov. 3. Open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in September and October and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in November.
Admission: 15-30 per person, depending on the date. Children under 2 are free. Tickets must be purchased online.
Visitors can pick pumpkins from the field, navigate a 1.5-acre corn maze, enjoy wagon rides and explore a 15-acre play area with slides, rope swings and a jumping pillow. Weekend attractions include pig races, cider-pressing demonstrations and pumpkin cannons.
Hours: Sept. 19 through Oct. 31, daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Admission: Advance online tickets are $12 -$14 for children and $14-$16 for adults, plus a $1 ticketing fee. Gate admission is $16- $18 for ages 3 and older. Pumpkins cost an additional 69 cents per pound.
3. Temple Hall Farm — Leesburg

This NOVA Parks attraction offers pick-your-own pumpkins and flowers, wagon rides, farm animals, jumping pillows, slides, a scavenger hunt and a pumpkin-blasting attraction on weekends.
Hours: Sept. 26 through Nov. 3, daily from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Last admission is at 4 p.m.
Admission: $15 per person on weekends and $12 on weekdays. Children under two enter free. Each paid admission includes a pumpkin and flowers.
4. Pumpkin Village Fall Fest — Leesburg
19246 James Monroe Highway, Leesburg
Located at Leesburg Animal Park, Pumpkin Village features giant hill slides, moon bounces, wagon rides, pedal carts, a corn bin and opportunities to visit animals. Weekend entertainment is also offered.
Hours: Sept. 19 through Nov. 8. Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, 9:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.; Friday through Sunday, 9:30 a.m. - 6 p.m., with earlier closing times in November. Generally closed Tuesdays.
Admission: $14.95 on promotional Wednesdays, $18.95 on other weekdays, $19.95 on designated value weekends and $24.95 on peak weekends and holidays. Children under two enter for free. Weekend and holiday tickets must be purchased online.
5. Wayside Farm Fun — Berryville
5273 Harry Byrd Highway, Berryville
Wayside Farm Fun features a 10-acre corn maze, pick-your-own pumpkins, hayrides, farm animals, slides, a jumping pillow and weekend pig races. Visitors can also try the apple blaster and paintball attractions for an additional charge.
Hours: Sept. 19 through Nov. 1, Thursday through Sunday and Columbus Day, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
Admission: $15 per person on weekdays and $18 on weekends and holidays. Children two and younger are free. Pumpkins and certain activities cost extra.
6. Messick's Farm Market — Bealeton
6025 Catlett Road, Bealeton
Messick's Fall Festival includes a pumpkin patch, corn maze, tractor rides, farm animals, a barrel train, seasonal food and live music on select dates. The farm also offers an adults-only nighttime corn maze event on Oct. 30.
Hours: Fall Festival weekends through Oct. 25, generally 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., with a special opening on Oct. 12.
Admission: Standard festival tickets are listed at $14.50, or $16.19 including the online ticket fee, for ages four to 54. Discounted tickets for ages 55 and older total $10.15 including the fee. Additional purchases cost extra.
7. Braehead Farm — Fredericksburg

Braehead Farm offers pumpkin picking, a farm market, barnyard animals, hay-barn activities, swings, picnic areas and family playgrounds. Pumpkin and vegetable picking is free, but fall festival activities require an additional admission fee.
Hours: Open daily from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. during the fall season.
Admission: Free to visit the market and pick-your-own fields; pumpkins are purchased separately. Family playground admission is $6 per person, plus tax. Fall festival access costs an additional $9, bringing the combined admission to $15 per person, plus tax.
8. Belvedere Plantation — Fredericksburg

Belvedere Plantation's Fall Harvest Festival offers a corn maze, pumpkin picking, hayrides, pig races, farm animals, slides and other family activities. Evening visits feature additional opportunities to experience the farm after dark.
Hours: Sept. 12 through Nov. 7. Thursday and Friday, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.; Friday evenings, 6 - 10 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m. - 10 p.m.; Sunday, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Special holiday hours apply.
Admission: Prices vary by date and ticket category. Weekday tickets start at $20.95, weekend tickets at $27.95 Tickets purchased at the gate cost $5 more than online admission, and online tickets carry a $1 processing fee. Children two and younger enter free.
9. Hollin Farms — Delaplane

Families looking for a quieter pumpkin-picking experience can visit Hollin Farms, where visitors can select pumpkins, squash and other seasonal produce. The farm also offers opportunities to harvest apples, potatoes and peanuts when available.
Hours: Opening days and hours vary with weather and crop conditions. Visitors should check the farm's current schedule before traveling.
Admission: No general admission or reservation requirement is listed; visitors pay for the produce they harvest. Current pumpkin prices should be confirmed with the farm.
