VA Father Charged In Death Of 5-Month-Old Infant
The child died on Thursday after being hospitalized for nearly a week with life-threatening injuries, police said.
HOPEWELL, VA — A Virginia father has been charged with homicide following the death of his 5-month-old son, according to police.
The infant died on June 19 after being hospitalized for nearly a week with life-threatening injuries, the Hopewell Police Department said in a statement.
According to police, emergency responders were called to a home in the 4900 block of Oaklawn Boulevard on the morning of June 14 for a report of an unresponsive child.

Officers and firefighters found the infant unresponsive and began lifesaving measures before taking him to TriCities Emergency Center and later to VCU Medical Center.
Following the incident, police arrested the child's father, 22-year-old Nathan Travis-Nunnally, on charges of child abuse and aggravated malicious wounding.

After the infant died, investigators obtained an additional felony homicide charge against Travis-Nunnally, police said.
Travis-Nunnally is being held at Riverside Regional Jail.
