Here's where to go - The Ring-tum Phi (ringtumphi.net) — Students recommend Buena Vista as a go-to escape from Lexington, especially for drives along the Blue Ridge Parkway and visits to the James River Foot Bridge in the Buena Vista area. Their favorite spots range from scenic overlooks and hiking trails to local eateries and coffee shops, giving newcomers plenty of ideas for quick study breaks and weekend adventures nearby.
   

• A Full-Circle Summer (wlu.edu) — Washington and Lee students spent their summer delivering prepared meals into Buena Vista and other Rockbridge County communities through the Campus Kitchen program, helping address local food insecurity. The small intern team handled gardening, cooking, delivery routes, and relationship-building with residents, while also designing nutrition education and strengthening partnerships ahead of the program's 20th anniversary this fall.
