Snake Escapes Assassination Attempt, Woman Charged With Firearm Offense: PWC Police
Prince William County police charged a homeowner with reckless handling of a firearm over her animal disposal technique.
DUMFRIES, VA – Ashley Nicole Kennedy, 34, of Dumfries, was charged with reckless handling of a firearm after firing multiple times at a snake in front of her home, according to the Prince William County Police Department.
Officers arrived at the 3300 block of Vineland Place in Dumfries on the afternoon of May 6 to respond to a report of shots being fired. Their investigation turned up a homeowner, Kennedy, who police concluded fired multiple rounds toward the reptile in front of her home.
The snake side-slithered danger, apparently. “The snake did not appear to have been struck or injured, and was not located by officers on scene,” the county incident report reads.
