A 20-year-old King George man was charged after deputies investigated an embezzlement report at a Stafford FedEx warehouse.

FREDERICKSBURG, VA — A Stafford County deputy arrested a 20-year-old King George man Wednesday morning after responding to an embezzlement report at the FedEx warehouse on Centreport Parkway, according to the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office.

The incident was reported shortly before 7:30 a.m. at 180 Centreport Parkway in Fredericksburg. A sheriff's deputy responded after information was provided that the suspect had reportedly concealed an item from a package, according to the sheriff’s office.

When management confronted the suspect, the suspect placed a large bottle of prescription medication on the table, according to the sheriff’s office. The deputy then made contact with the suspect, who said the bottle had been found on the ground and was supposed to be turned over to management, but that had been forgotten, according to the sheriff’s office.
