9 Arrested In Hanover Prostitution Operation, Including Fredericksburg Woman

FREDERICKSBURG, VA — A woman identified by authorities as being from Fredericksburg faces prostitution and drug charges following an operation in Hanover County that resulted in nine arrests, according to the Hanover County Sheriff’s Office.

Danielle Carter Ross Rezac, 35, was arrested Thursday, during an operation conducted by investigators from the sheriff’s office’s Strategic Operations Division in the 10,000 block of Washington Highway, authorities said.

Rezac was charged in Hanover General District Court with prostitution, residing in a bawdy place, three felony counts of possessing a Schedule I or II controlled substance and one misdemeanor count of possessing a Schedule IV controlled substance, court records show. The allegations remain pending, and the records contain no disposition.

Rezac’s Court Cases

Rezac’s Hanover cases were filed Friday. Court records reviewed Sunday listed her as being in custody and identified Charles Lewis as her attorney. Her arraignment was continued to Dec. 15 at 9 a.m.

The sheriff’s office described Rezac as a Fredericksburg resident, while the court records list a Spotsylvania address.

Separate Chesterfield General District Court records show Rezac also has pending felony cases stemming from a Jan. 9 arrest. She is charged there with possessing a Schedule I or II controlled substance and receiving or buying stolen goods valued at more than $1,000.

A Chesterfield capias issued over an alleged pretrial violation lists Aug. 13 — the date of the Hanover operation — as Rezac’s arrest date. An arraignment in those matters was scheduled for Monday, court records show. No disposition was listed in any of the Chesterfield cases.

Eight Others Arrested

The sheriff’s office identified eight other people arrested during the Hanover operation:

• Emma Shea Pillion, 27, of Fluvanna, was charged with two counts of possessing a controlled substance, prostitution and maintaining a bawdy place.
• Karla Michelle Kinsley, 39, of Richmond, was charged with possessing a controlled substance.
• Sentel Devon Clarke, 47, of North Chesterfield, was arrested on an existing probation-violation warrant.
• Lareysha Aireonna Teasley, 21, of Henrico, was charged with possessing a controlled substance, possessing a firearm while possessing a controlled substance, possessing a stolen firearm, prostitution and maintaining a bawdy place.
• Melissa Jan Strader, 45, of North Chesterfield, was charged with prostitution and maintaining a bawdy place. She was released on a summons.
• Victoria Monique Galvan, 33, of Colonial Heights, was charged with possessing a controlled substance, prostitution and maintaining a bawdy place.
• Ashley Nichole Parker, 39, of North Chesterfield, was charged with prostitution and maintaining a bawdy place. She was released on a summons.
• Shamya Williams, 19, of Richmond, was charged with prostitution and released on a summons.

Charges are accusations, and defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty.

“Maintaining a high quality of life requires proactive enforcement,” Hanover County Sheriff Gregory W. Six said in a statement. “We will continue working to identify and address illegal activity and make sure Hanover is a place where this type of activity cannot flourish.”
