Juvenile Detained After Reported Gunfire In Fredericksburg

Police detained a juvenile after reported gunfire on Hickok Circle. No injuries or damage were reported. Investigation continues.

FREDERICKSBURG, VA — Police detained a possible juvenile suspect after responding to a report of shots fired late Monday in a Fredericksburg neighborhood.

Officers were called to the 200 block of Hickok Circle, where they detained the possible juvenile suspect as part of the investigation, according to the Fredericksburg Police Department.

Police said the preliminary investigation found no reported injuries or property damage.

Authorities asked the public to avoid the area while officers and detectives continue investigating the incident.

Investigators are asking anyone with surveillance or doorbell camera footage from the area between 11 p.m. and midnight to contact the Fredericksburg Police Department at 540-373-3122, option 2. Police also ask anyone with information about the incident to call the same number.
