• Fredericksburg and Main Street to share visitor center space (fredericksburg.com) — Fredericksburg residents can expect a more unified downtown welcome as City Council approved moving the Main Street organization into shared space with the new Visitor Center at 601 Caroline Street. The co-location, expected to be ready by early fall, is meant to boost visibility, strengthen collaboration on tourism and economic development, and support the vibrancy of the Historic District and downtown businesses.
   

• Fredericksburg residents charged in task force drug sting in Culpeper (starexponent.com) — Two Fredericksburg residents face drug-related charges after an undercover task force operation in Culpeper County led to their arrest and the recovery of a reportedly stolen handgun. Follow-up searches involving Stafford County authorities seized about half a pound of suspected cocaine, ammunition, and digital scales, with investigators emphasizing ongoing efforts and reminding the public that all charges remain allegations.
   

• Warbirds Drop Final Game of the Season (mlb.com) — Fredericksburg baseball fans saw the Nationals cap their season with a 7–2 home win over the Wilson Warbirds at Virginia Credit Union Stadium. Strong hitting in the middle innings and late defensive resilience sealed the finale, while fans are already being pointed toward 2027 season tickets and an August 2 home opener against Augusta.
