The overall Best of Show winner, West Point High’s Alaina Riggs, received a full Wallace State scholarship and will have her artwork displayed in the U.S. Capitol, alongside other category winners from across north Alabama.

• Six North Alabama high schoolers win ASWA player of the year (whnt.com) — An Albertville High standout, Lani Smallwood, has been named to the Alabama Sports Writers Association Girls Super State team, putting local talent among the very best in the state.
