Man Arrested Following Two Disturbance Calls at Same Home (junctionnow.com) — A 39-year-old Grand Junction man was arrested after deputies twice responded to a disturbance at a home on Bear Valley Court, where he allegedly forced his way back in by breaking two doors. Mesa County Sheriff's deputies took him into custody nearby and booked him on multiple trespass, tampering, mischief, and domestic-violence related charges.
   

2. Commissioners approve Mesa County budget changes (kkco11news.com) — Mesa County commissioners have approved third-quarter budget changes that affect key services used by Grand Junction residents, including animal services, the Sheriff's Office, and public health. New grants, fire-fighting invoices, and energy rebates leave the general fund about $65,000 ahead, while officials continue working to close a structural deficit before presenting the 2027 budget on October 6.
   

3. What firefighters want parents to know about car seat safety (kkco11news.com) — Grand Junction parents are being urged to double-check their children's car seats after local firefighters found over 90% brought in for inspection have problems, often loose installation or wrong sizing. During Child Passenger Safety Week, the Grand Junction Fire Department and Hilltop's Child Safety Program are offering appointments with certified technicians to review installation, expiration dates, crash replacement, and Colorado's updated car seat laws.
   

4. Jon Carmichael to give keynote address at Business Incubator event (thebusinesstimes.com) — A new Entrepreneur Exchange event is coming to the Grand Junction Convention Center on Friday, Oct. 16, featuring keynote speaker and astrophotographer Jon Carmichael.
