Greenwich housing plan cut to 80 units as neighbors raise concerns (greenwichtime.com) — A proposed 80-unit apartment building at 200 Pemberwick Road, including 24 affordable units, is moving into preliminary review with Greenwich's Planning & Zoning Commission. Neighbors are raising concerns about flooding, building height, traffic, and pedestrian safety, while developers argue the project supports local housing goals under Connecticut's 8-30g law.
   

2. Upper Havemeyer Field Update: Kickers Return in the Spring (greenwichsentinel.com) — If you've been wondering about the torn-up look at Upper Havemeyer Field by Town Hall, Parks and Recreation says the irrigation, drainage, and reseeding project is on track. The Greenwich Soccer Association's youngest Kickers teams have temporarily shifted to other fields, with the popular games expected to return to Upper Havemeyer next spring.
   

3. Hollywood Day at the Citizens' Police Academy (greenwichsentinel.com) — Greenwich residents can get a behind-the-scenes look at local policing through the Citizens' Police Academy, which meets Tuesday nights from late September to mid-November. A recent session highlighted the Patrol Division's focus on positive community contact, crash prevention, and EMT-level medical training, with upcoming classes promising patrol-boat rides and police ride-alongs covered in future Greenwich Sentinel reports.
   

4. Royce Family Fund (insidephilanthropy.com) — A Greenwich-based family foundation, the Royce Family Fund, quietly channels millions each year into arts, education, health, and community projects, with a strong focus on Connecticut and the New York area. Local beneficiaries include Greenwich Academy, Greenwich Country Day School, Christ Church Greenwich, the Bruce Museum, and Greenwich Library, though the fund does not accept unsolicited proposals.
