• North Smithfield OKs Greenville Road Gas Station, 3-1 (upriseri.com) — Just up the road from Smithfield, North Smithfield's Planning Board has preliminarily approved a new Greenville Road gas station with a drive-thru, plus a Walmart pickup expansion and a new Blunders Way house lot. After intense debate over traffic, fuel deliveries and nearby school congestion, the board added conditions on delivery hours and fire review before the project can move to final approval.
