3. Upstate man sentenced after gun, fentanyl found during traffic stop (wspa.com) — A Greenville man has been sentenced to seven years in federal prison after a 2024 traffic stop near South Pleasantburg Drive and Lowndes Hill Road uncovered a loaded 9mm pistol, fentanyl, oxycodone, and a digital scale. With four prior felony firearm convictions, he was barred from having a gun, and now faces years of supervision after his release.
   

4. Police Are Still Investigating Hayden Panettiere's Passing (entertainmentnow.com) — Greenville police say the investigation into Hayden Panettiere's death at an Airbnb in Greenville remains open, even after the county coroner ruled her accidental death was caused by multiple drugs. Local authorities are still piecing together her final hours, while her family and friends mourn and push back against speculation surrounding the case.
