City of Lynchburg announces street closures for Sept. 26 Virginia 10 Miler (wsls.com) — Lynchburg drivers should prepare for extensive road closures this Saturday, Sept. 26, when the Virginia 10 Miler takes over key routes including Langhorne Road, Rivermont Avenue, and Cranehill Drive. Dozens of neighborhood streets will be blocked or restricted for several hours, meaning many residents won't be able to enter or exit via race-route roads and will need alternate plans.

Lynchburg addresses unpaid invoices for Riverfront Amphitheater (wfxrtv.com) — Lynchburg officials are addressing concerns about unpaid invoices and canceled shows at the new Riverfront Amphitheater, emphasizing they must protect city taxpayers while supporting the venue's long-term success. The city says it has repeatedly invoiced Mason Lane Entertainment, set deadlines, and formally notified the company of noncompliance, while still trying to give the partnership time to stabilize.
