• Raccoon found in Williamsburg tests positive for rabies (wavy.com) — Health officials are warning Williamsburg residents after a raccoon found on Catesby Lane in the Middletowne Farms neighborhood tested positive for rabies. Anyone who may have had contact with the animal, or whose pets did, should immediately call the Peninsula Health District or James City County Animal Control and ensure pets are vaccinated while avoiding close contact with wildlife.
