• Cherokee County Arrest Files for Wednesday, June 10 (weisradio.com) — Centre residents should know that local police made several arrests in the past 24 hours, including one involving a Centre resident on a domestic violence charge. The report also notes additional arrests by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office and that 83 inmates are currently housed in the county detention center. 
• Fire crews battle early morning house fire in Centre after alarm sounds (abc3340.com) — A Centre couple escaped their smoke-filled home early Wednesday after a working alarm woke them, and multiple fire departments responded to the blaze on County Road 29 in the McCord’s Crossroads community. Crews quickly contained fire damage to one basement room, limited the spread, and successfully rescued the family’s pet, which appeared uninjured despite heavy smoke.
