• Mid-Currituck Bridge funding stays put as leaders seek to close $800M gap (wtkr.com) — Duck’s elected leaders joined Dare and Currituck counties and nearby towns in backing a plan to keep $173 million committed to the long-planned Mid-Currituck Bridge while officials search for ways to close an $800 million funding gap. Regional transportation leaders voted 6–1 to hold the line for at least a year, meaning Duck residents still face uncertainty but no immediate loss of bridge funding.
   

• Outer Banks Chamber celebrates 11th Leadership OBX Graduation (outerbanksvoice.com) — A Town of Duck representative, Christy Hanks, is among the newest graduates of the Outer Banks Chamber’s Leadership OBX program, which aims to build stronger local leadership across the region. The 2025–26 class, honored April 15 at Captain George’s Restaurant, joins more than 250 alumni, and applications for the next cohort will open in June 2025.
